Teach what
is in you.
Not as it applies
to you, to yourself,
but as it applies
to the other.*

* from Health, Healing and Beyond - Yoga and The Living tradition of Krishnamacharya by T.K.V. Desikachar

The journey that took me to where I am today began as a teenager. As I struggled for identity I fell into the cycle of eating disorders and all the negativity it generates: low self esteem, depression, physical ailments, food allergies, candida, etc. While conventional medicine looks at this cycle as an illness and tries to "fix" it with drugs, that approach did not work for me. To come out of the cycle I turned to alternative healing methods.

It was the beginning of a larger journey of the soul. I sought healing from a different perspective: healing as remembering who we truly are, healing as a shift in perception.

I started exploring nutritional theories, became interested in eastern philosophies and their physical and psychological aspects: yoga, Ayurveda, Reiki, aromatherapy, martial arts, Tai Chi, and intuitive/Thai massage.

What started as a self-healing adventure has become the focus of my professional life.
I am a certified 500hrs YOGA WORKS teacher, for which I also work as a nutrition and Ayurvedic counselor. I am also a certified Yoga teacher in the ISHTA tradition (ISHTA is the acronym for: Integrated Science of Hatha Tantra and Ayurveda), and a Pilates teacher certified by the Kane School for Core Integration.

I hold a Level II certificate for Reiki and continue my professional development through specialized courses in Anatomy of the Breath, Polarity Therapy, and Yoga.

I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and am Certified as a Holistic Health Counselor by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I have studied with Annemarie Colbin (founder of the Natural Gourmet school), and with Marc David (author of Nourishing Wisdom) and continue to draw inspiration from their teachings.

As a Holistic Health Counselor (HHC) I can now help others remember, embark on their own journey and begin to grow.

mission
My mission is to bring integrity, joyfulness, sacredness, commitment, intuition and growth in all that I do. By sharing my personal inspiration with others, through my work, I can give people a truer sense of who they are.
